NASA is cooperating with US manufacturers on several parallel approaches to integrated general aviation avionics. One of the most advanced projects is the Demonstration Advanced Avionic System (DAAS), handled by NASA Ames Research Center in partnership with Honeywell Avionics and King Radio ... Honeywell has built a DAAS simulator, and flight testing of the system on a Cessna 402B will start next year.
